Storytelling is a quite complex topic. On the one hand, we are all storytellers. In fact, we’ve been telling stories since childhood, and most of us tell stories on a daily basis. For example, we share important parts of our life with family and friends, colleagues at work, and sometimes, total strangers that we meet. We share life through stories.
By telling and hearing stories, we’re able to express and understand our humanity.
But there’s a major difference between, what I like to call, conversational stories and intentional stories. We learned to have conversations when we were kids, so we have lots of experience on that front, but it’s rare that any of us were taught how to craft a personal story in same way that books or movies are written — with a specific story line and told within a defined length of time. That’s intentional storytelling. And it requires lots of writing, and lots of editing, and lots of refinements. It’s a process, a skill that takes time and effort to master.
And this is where storytelling with impact comes it. The thing is, our personal stories have the power to change other people’s lives. Consider your own life — how stories have affected you and shaped the person you’ve become. We learn from the stories of others. Their experiences and wisdom help us decide what we should do, or shouldn’t do. When to push forward, when to hold back. Stay the course, or take another path.
Whenever we seek advice from someone we trust, we get answers in story form. And we learn from history — from stories told by someone notable — Nelson Mandela or JFK, for example, as well as stories written by and about everyday folks. We filter the content, retaining some elements, tossing out others. Stories form the fabric of life.
That’s where storytelling and speaker coaching makes a difference. Similar to how you take lessons to master an instrument or play a sport, improving your storytelling skills is something you can achieve with the right combination of learning and practice.
Whether you want to speak on a stage, create videos, record a podcast, or put pen to paper, the world will benefit from what you’ve learned along the way. Your pearls of wisdom or keys to success. Your new ideas, or vision for the future. Your audience is able to spend a few moments in your shoes, to see and feel what you saw and felt.
I help people achieve their storytelling goals. The story you want to tell may be more experience-driven — based on your life events, or more idea-driven — focused on an interesting idea, a solution to a problem, or your vision of the future. Regardless I’ll help you find a more impactful version of your story, develop a compelling narrative, and enhance your presentation techniques.

In any event, best of luck with your storytelling. The world needs to hear from you!
